Expanded Balance

About the project
Expanded Balance is an immersive installation that explores the fragile tension between growth and collapse in contemporary society. The work investigates how human ambition—technological, economic, and ecological—continuously stretches the idea of “balance” beyond its natural limits.
Through layered visual elements, distorted organic forms, and suspended structural components, the installation creates a physical experience of instability. Visitors move through a space where equilibrium feels temporary, where expansion becomes both a promise and a threat.
The project responds to the Biennale’s theme by examining how systems—environmental, social, and psychological—attempt to sustain harmony while being pushed toward excess. “Expanded Balance” does not present resolution. Instead, it invites reflection on whether balance can still exist in a world that constantly demands acceleration.
