Rhizomatic Echoes (林音・根韵)

About the project
Curated by Yipei Lee and Jill Zheng, Rhizomatic Echoes (林音・根韵) does not place humans at the center of the world, but instead seeks to shift perspective toward “beyond-human” relationships — considering how knowledge is constructed, modes of production transformed, and perceptual experience expanded when trees are regarded as entities with their own temporal scales, forms of intelligence, and ways of being.
Years of accumulated practice and research have gradually led us to a new line of inquiry:
Can we learn to listen to, interpret, and even respond to the signals emitted by trees?
This ongoing path of exploration forms the foundation of the exhibition and its public education initiatives. We warmly invite artists and cross-disciplinary practitioners to join us in exploring modes of communication and ecological connection that transcend human-centered perspectives, opening up imaginative spaces for coexistence, perception, and the futures we might share.
