Tumba-tumba Children's Museum of Philippine Art
CANVAS & Various Artists | Ibaan, Batangas, Philippines
About the project
The Tumba-Tumba Children's Museum of Philippine Art is the home of the If Trees Could Talk International Art Biennale—a 15,000-sqm mango orchard converted into an open-air museum with installations by Lito Mondejar, Don Bryan Bunag, Leeroy New, and Cian Dayrit. It is envisioned to house the permanent collection of the Center for Art, New Ventures, and Sustainable Development (CANVAS) and will showcase and promote child-friendly Philippine art as a medium to encourage a love for books, and to encourage discussion and reflection on the key issues of our times.
For this edition of the Biennale, new installations by Renato Barja Jr., Archie Oclos, Wang Yue, Mr. S, BLIC, Jerry V. Araos, and Plet Bolipata join works from the inaugural exhibit in 2024.
