GLOBAL CALL FOR POSTCARDS
Dear Children, Artists, and Dreamers,
Two years ago, in February 2024, we launched the first IF TREES COULD TALK International Art Biennale.
The Biennale aims to shine a spotlight on environmental issues, particularly the urgent need to address climate change, to remind us all that our actions today shape the world our children will inherit tomorrow.
We are now excited to once again extend an invitation for everyone to participate as we launch the second If Trees Could Talk International Art Biennale in February 2026, and join in the conversation.
We invite and call on everyone, especially the children and young-at-heart, the dreamers and the artists of the world, to imagine a planet where trees are not just silent observers, but eloquent storytellers. We invite you to pick up your pens, brushes, and hearts to create a postcard and depict what IF TREES COULD TALK means to you.
Let your imagination take root. Picture the conversations trees would have, the tales they would tell, the wisdom they would share. Express your thoughts, emotions, and visions on postcards. Use these simple canvases to connect your creative spirit and the natural world. Write a poetic verse, sketch a whimsical tree-character, or express your message through the lens of your camera.
Send your works to us, and as the postcards arrive, we will assemble them into a display of messages from trees from all over the world, to collectively become a growing and continuing feature of the Biennale.
You may mail your postcards to:
The Center for Art, New Ventures and Sustainable Development (CANVAS)
1 Upsilon Drive Extension corner Zuzuarregui Street
Barangay Matandang Balara, Quezon City, Philippines 1119
Alternatively, you may also take a good photo of your work and email it to postcards@canvas.ph.
Feel free to share this invitation with your friends and networks!
Whether you're a child with a vivid imagination or an artist with a passion for change, your voice matters. Come and join the conversation!
Warmest wishes,
Gigo Alampay
